Sagacious words

Poetry is a deal of joy and pain and wonder, with a dash of the dictionary. ~ Khalil Gibran

Surreal Theatre

The falling it doesn't hurt
And the tears just don't fall;
As the lights go out on the brightest day-

The nature of paths that force you to pray,
As the demons subliminally lurk
Daring you to stand up tall,

The forces of a surreal theatre,
Enable visions from all sides of the equator-
Hints of madness or signs of the true reality?

The realities of being alive divert-
Twisting truths all and sundry,
Shattering notions of an only way;

Stealing all the numbing comforts,
That protect against the carnage of it all-
Keeping the insecure on a constant alert.
