Of Deceit and Betrayal

The truth washes over the living-dead,
As over time the waves of deceit surge-
Into fresh new memories for the misled,
Which cause putrid realism to submerge.

The drowning beliefs become dread,
As images dance before stinging eyes
And with the cold truth, solace ebbs
As all the disparities reveal utter lies.

Into the depths of the dark sea bed,
A light is shone as a beam from the sky
And fear teaches, in the water to tread
For the pain is simply a silent power cry.
