Sagacious words

Poetry is a deal of joy and pain and wonder, with a dash of the dictionary. ~ Khalil Gibran

The Human Jungle Company

When the dawn brings forth a surreal light-
The rains hide under heavy clouds in skies far yonder;
As approved buds blossom to do what is right
And leaves fallen in timely rejection-
decompose to forever within the earth ponder,
And then confrontational winds that agitate the roots,
In the midst of storms, dutifully give rise to fragility;
And in that randomness are grown haphazardly new off-shoots,
Which nurture the growth of obsessions with accountability,
And so do the seasons change in the human jungle company.
